These Terms of Use govern your use of LedgerMate: Shared Ledger, developed by Mohamed Najad. By creating an account or using LedgerMate, you agree to these Terms.
1. Purpose
LedgerMate is a shared record-keeping tool for income, expenses, categories, receipts, currency conversions and related ledger information. It is not a bank, payment service, lender, accounting firm, tax adviser, investment adviser, debt-collection service or provider of legal or financial advice.
2. User accounts
You must provide accurate information and protect your password and devices. You are responsible for activity performed through your account and must notify us of suspected unauthorized access. You may not impersonate another person or access another user’s account without authorization.
3. Shared ledgers
Authorized members of a shared ledger may view information including member names, roles, transactions, notes, categories, receipts and activity history. Ledger owners and administrators may manage members, roles and records according to the App’s permissions. Invite only people you trust.
4. User content
You remain responsible for information you submit. You confirm that you have the right to upload it, that it is lawful and that it does not violate another person’s privacy or intellectual-property rights. You grant us a limited right to process, host and display content only as necessary to operate LedgerMate.
5. Accuracy of records
Users are responsible for checking ledger entries. Calculations and summaries depend on user-provided information and may be affected by incorrect entries, exchange-rate limitations, software defects or service interruptions. Independently verify important financial, legal, business or tax records.
6. Currency conversion
Currency conversion is provided for convenience. Rates may be delayed, use an earlier banking day, differ from market or payment-provider rates, or be temporarily unavailable. We do not guarantee a particular rate or result.
7. Receipts and attachments
Receipt uploads are optional. You must not upload unlawful content, malware, unrelated highly sensitive information, or another person’s content without permission. File type, size and storage limits may apply.
8. Acceptable use
You must not use LedgerMate for unlawful activity, bypass authentication, access ledgers without authorization, interfere with the API, upload harmful software, abuse invitations or use automated requests that harm service availability. We may suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect users or the service.
9. Service availability
We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. Maintenance, hosting issues, internet outages, software updates, security incidents, third-party failures or events outside our control may interrupt the service. Offline information may be incomplete, outdated or removed by the device or browser.
10. Account deletion and shared records
You may request deletion through the account deletion page. Because LedgerMate supports shared ledgers, some transaction and audit records may remain to preserve balances, accountability and records belonging to other members. Where appropriate, retained records may be anonymized.
11. Intellectual property
LedgerMate’s software, design, branding and related materials are owned by or licensed to the developer, excluding user content and third-party materials. You receive a limited, revocable, non-exclusive right to use the App for its intended purpose.
12. Disclaimer
To the extent permitted by law, LedgerMate is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, error-free calculations, accurate exchange rates, permanent data availability or suitability for a particular accounting, tax or legal requirement.
13. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential or financial losses arising from incorrect entries, reliance on summaries or rates, unauthorized access, disputes between members, data loss, interruption or decisions made using LedgerMate. Nothing excludes rights that cannot legally be excluded.
14. Changes
We may modify features or update these Terms. Updated Terms will be posted with a revised effective date. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
15. Termination
You may stop using LedgerMate at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations, security risks, fraud, legal requirements or harm to users or the service.
16. Governing law
These Terms are governed by applicable laws of India, subject to mandatory consumer protections that apply in a user’s location.
